We can plant one tree in the Lurë National Park for as little as €3. That is only possible thanks to the donors like yourself and enormous support from our partners.

How can you donate?

POK - Albania only (no fees)

POK supports Trees for Lurë and provides their services for free. You can donate using POK, a local payment provider in Albania. Use POK app or follow the banner on this page to POK marketplace.

Credit/Debit card or PayPal (fees) - use form on this page

You can use your credit/debit card to pay for your donation. In this case the payment will be processed by Stripe. If you prefer, you can also use your PayPal account just select the option in the Donorbox form.

Bank transfer in Albania or EU (no fees)

If you wish to donate using bank transfer to our bank accounts in Albania or the EU, please email us at finance@treesforlure.org. We will provide you with the necessary information and manually enter your donation into our system.

Can you deduct donation from your tax?

We send electronic receipt for each donation. The receipt contains all required information for tax deductions.

According to the European Fundraising Association report Tax Incentives for Charitable Giving in Europe (PDF) most donors from the EU & UK should be able to deduct their donations. Please read the report to get more information if it's applicable to you.

Unfortunately, US donors can't deduct their donations as per IRS information, section Foreign Organizations.

How do we use donations?

We use your donation only to buy trees and seeds, transport, material and activities which are necessary to organise planting events.

We are a volunteer based organisation which allows us to use 95.6% (see below) of your donations for our activities, not on management overhead.

Through our activities we channel a substantial amount of your donations back to the local community in the Lurë area. We achieve this by having a local team who we contract to help us with digging, planting transportation and other services.

95.6% of your donation used, why?

We use Donorbox service to process our donations and Stripe or PayPal to process payments.

Unfortunately, there are fees involved when accepting payments via Donorbox (1.5%) & Stripe/PayPal (2.9% + $0.30). We pay this fee from each donation.

If you want to cover the Donorbox & Stripe fee, you can do so by ticking the box “Optionally cover processing fee” on the last page of the donation form.
